GUWAHATI: Telecommunications service provider, Bharti Airtel, has achieved a remarkable milestone within just one year of the launch of Airtel 5G Plus. The company announced that it now boasts over 50 million unique 5G customers on its network, making it one of the fastest 5G rollouts in the country. Additionally, Airtel proudly revealed that its 5G Plus services are now accessible in every district across India, spanning all 28 states and 8 union territories.

Randeep Sekhon, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Bharti Airtel, expressed his enthusiasm about this remarkable achievement, stating, “We are thrilled at the speed of adoption of 5G by millions of our customers, and we are reaching this milestone earlier than planned. This marks a significant expansion of Airtel’s 5G coverage, growing from 1 million in October 2022 to an impressive 50 million in just 12 months since the launch. The expansion is ongoing at full throttle, and I am confident that we will continue to rapidly expand our 5G coverage to achieve nationwide reach, enabling all our customers to embrace the 5G age.”

From the picturesque landscapes of Balia in Bihar to the historic city of Cuttack in Odisha, the quaint Ramgarh district in Jharkhand to Bishnoi, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts in Rajasthan, and from the serene Serai in Kerala to the charming villages of Kashmir, Airtel customers nationwide have embarked on the digital superhighway, enjoying blazing fast internet speeds.

Airtel’s rapid and widespread rollout of 5G technology underscores the company’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge telecommunications services to its customers across the country. With 5G now accessible in every district of India, Airtel has positioned itself as a pioneer in the race to usher in the 5G era, offering its customers lightning-fast connectivity and unlocking a world of possibilities in the digital landscape.
