The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the Class 10 and 12 board examinations scheduled for March 2, 2026, in several Middle East countries.
The exams have been deferred in countries including Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, citing the current situation in parts of the Middle East. The board said that fresh dates will be announced later.
The CBSE in an official circular released on Sunday said, “Students and schools are informed that due to the current situation in parts of the Middle East (Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE), the Board has decided to postpone the Class X and Class XII examinations scheduled to be held on Monday, March 02, 2026, in the Middle East region.”

The board said that the situation will be reviews again on March 3 and a decision will be taken regarding the examinations scheduled from March 5, 2026, onwards.
“The Board will review the situation on Tuesday, 03 March 2026, and take appropriate decisions with regard to examinations scheduled from 05 March onwards,” the notice added.
Students have been advised to remain in regular contact with their respective schools for further updates. Schools will share fresh information and instructions once they receive further communication from the board.
