Kohima: Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton on October 6 launched the “Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan,” a 90-day campaign aimed at promoting self-reliance and supporting Indian-made products.
Speaking at the BJP headquarters in Kohima, Y Patton said, “The initiative seeks to rekindle the spirit of self-reliance and encourage every citizen to support Indian-made products, nurturing local industries and empowering our entrepreneurs.”
This campaign reminds us that India’s strength lies in the capability and creativity of its people, the deputy chief minister stated.
He said the 90-day nationwide campaign is inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Nagaland joins the rest of the nation in taking this pledge for a self-reliant India,” Patton added.
Emphasising the essence of the Swadeshi campaign, he urged the citizens to embrace locally made products, uphold Indian culture, and strengthen the national economy.
He said the call for “ Har Ghar Swadesh, Ghar-Ghar Swadeshi” is both a mission and a collective strength.
Patton outlined several initiatives under the campaign, including online quizzes, essay competitions, seminars for students and professionals, and Swadeshi fairs across the state.
