18-year-old Anon Konyak crowned Miss Nagaland 2024

Kohima: 18-year-old Anon Konyak was crowned Miss Nagaland 2024 at a spectacular ceremony held on Wednesday at the Regional Centre for Music and Performing Arts (RCEMPA) in  Kohima.

As the winner, Konyak will receive a direct entry to Miss Northeast 2025.

The event, organized by the Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN), was held under the theme “Grace and Beauty – The Women in You.”

Konyak was awarded a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh and gift hampers. The first runner-up, 21-year-old Nikali K Shohe, received a cash prize of Rs 1.4 lakh, while 18-year-old Kelülü Dawhuo, the second runner-up, was awarded Rs 1 lakh and gift hampers.

Both Konyak and Shohe were granted direct entry into the Miss North East 2025 pageant.

Over thirteen finalists competed in the prestigious pageant, each showcasing their talents and charisma. The contestants who reached the final round included Chumei C Phom, Nikali K Shohe, Vezotolu Shijoh, Lovikali Swu, Kelülü Dawhuo, Linokali Achumi, Muluvieo Koza, Sechenya Semy, Hüralü Dzüdo, Anon Konyak A, Merilo M Kikon, Shyerhunle Seb, and Ayuh W Konyak.

The event’s panel of judges comprised Asenla Longkumer, founding president of BASN; Shyamnagar Kashyap, director of the Miss Assam Organization; Shanavas C, secretary of the Government of Nagaland; Akshatha Das, Miss Tamil Nadu 2023; and Chanchui Khayi, Femina Miss India Manipur 2024.

Nagaland’s Tourism Minister, Temjen Imna Along, graced the event and lauded the Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland for successfully hosting the beauty pageant. He underscored the significance of the Hornbill Festival in promoting Nagaland on the international stage and urged for peace and harmony among the people of the state.

In addition to the main awards, the sub-title winners received a cash prize of Rs 15,000.

Nikali K Shohe won the title of Miss Body Beautiful, while Kelülü Dawhuo clinched the titles of Miss Multimedia and Miss Beautiful Smile. Lovikali Swu was awarded Miss Talent, and Ayuh M Konyak was crowned Miss Photogenic.
