Imphal: The Manipur government has scheduled a special helicopter sortie on Tuesday (February 10) to operate on the Imphal–Ukhrul–Imphal sector to facilitate urgent travel and improve connectivity for residents requiring quick transportation between Ukhrul and Imphal.
Anurag Bajpai, Additional Chief Secretary (Transport), Government of Manipur, stated in a notification issued on Monday that the government is also planning two helicopter sorties on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, for the Imphal–Ukhrul–Imphal route. These special helicopter services will operate in addition to the regular helicopter services.
Passengers are advised to carry minimal luggage, as the maximum weight allowed per passenger is 7 kg, according to the notification. They are also encouraged to contact the Nodal Officer (Heli Service), Office of the Deputy Commissioner (Ukhrul), at 8732851945 for any queries related to booking or the schedule of operations.

The Transport Department stated that the initiative has been taken to ensure seamless transportation services for the people of the state, particularly in view of the prevailing situation and connectivity requirements in the Ukhrul district.
