The Centre resolved more than 800 long-pending pension-related grievances during the 15th Pension Adalat, officials said on Friday.
The day-long Adalat was held on Wednesday at the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) as a single-window forum to address longstanding complaints of Central government pensioners, with a special focus on super senior citizens and family pensioners.
According to an official statement, a total of 1,087 grievances relating to 30 ministries and departments—including defence, home, finance, posts, housing and urban affairs, and civil aviation—were taken up during the proceedings.
Of these, 815 cases were settled on the spot, reflecting the effectiveness of the initiative in providing timely relief to pensioners.

The 15th Pension Adalat was chaired by Rachana Shah, Secretary, Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare, and brought together officials from concerned ministries and departments to ensure immediate resolution of cases.
The ministry highlighted several notable outcomes from the Adalat.
In one case, Pritam Singh, a pensioner from Rewari in Haryana, raised grievances over the non-payment of his General Provident Fund, leave encashment and gratuity, which had been pending for more than 114 days.
Following his intervention at the Adalat, officials of the Border Security Force informed him that the matter had been resolved and arrears amounting to Rs 68,10,192 would be credited to his account at the earliest.
The Pension Adalat mechanism has been positioned as a key tool for expediting the redressal of long-standing pension issues and ensuring greater accountability across departments.
