GUWAHATI: The winter session of the Assam Legislative Assembly will begin from December 20.
Prof Jagdish Mukhi, Governor of Assam has summoned the winter session of the Assam Legislative Assembly from December 20.
The business advisory committee of Assam Legislative Assembly will decide the duration of the session.
The Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat recently issued an order banning its employees from attending duties in casual attire like jeans, T-shirts and leggings (in case of women).
“All employees should attend office on all working days with formal attire only (salwar suit/saree/mekhela chador, formal shirt-pant and not casual attire such as T-shirts, jeans, leggings etc),” the order said.
The order also asked the employees of the Assam Legislative Assembly to wear traditional dress (of any community of Assam) on every Wednesday.
