New Delhi: The Assam Government on Wednesday decided to upgrade the four-lane stretch of road leading to the new terminal of Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport to a six-lane one.
The decision to upgrade the four-lane road leading to the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati was taken at the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attended the cabinet meeting virtually from the Assam House in New Delhi.
An additional amount for ₹116 crore for the six-lane road has been allocated from the state budget.
The estimated cost for the project will now be ₹474 crore, the cabinet meeting decided.

It was decided that the monthly literary pension will be given to individuals except government employees.
However, government employees who worked under corporation and undertakings and not drawing government pension will be eligible for literary pension.
