Guwahati: Assam down town University (AdtU), Guwahati, in collaboration with down town Hospitals, successfully celebrated International Women’s Day on Saturday by organizing a free health screening camp for women.
The event was led by the Faculty of Paramedical Sciences, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Faculty of Science, and the Outreach Committee of Assam down town University.
The International Women’s Day celebration at Assam down town University reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women through healthcare, education, and community engagement.
The organizers expressed gratitude to all participants and pledged to continue such initiatives in the future.
“Women’s health is a priority, and through this event, we strive to create awareness and provide essential medical services,” AdtU stated.
Assam down town University successfully organised a health screening camp on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, providing essential healthcare services at free of cost.
The camp offered comprehensive health check-ups, including blood pressure measurement, random blood sugar testing, physiotherapy screening, dietary consultations, eye examinations, and hemoglobin tests.
A team of medical professionals from Assam down town Hospitals, alongside faculty members and student volunteers, actively contributed to the initiative.
