Guwahati: New Delhi-based construction company Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Limited has been awarded the contract for construction of a 5,000 seating capacity public auditorium at Guwahati.
Assam Public Works Department (PWD) has awarded the construction work of 5,000 seating capacity public auditorium worth Rs 174.88 crore to Ahluwalia Contracts Ltd.
The new world class state-of-the-art public auditorium will come up at Khanapara in Guwahati, and will be completed in 24 months. It will be the largest public auditorium in Northeast India.
After bagging the contract, Ahluwalia Contracts Ltd stock rallied on Tuesday’s trading session.
At around 11:05 AM, Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Ltd share was up by Rs 13.15 or 3% from its previous closing of Rs 438.90 per share on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs 450 per share had touched a high and low of Rs 468.45 per share and Rs 450 per share respectively.
