The Karbi Anglong district administration has issued expulsion orders against three individuals who have been declared as foreigners by the Foreigners Tribunal (FT) in the district.
The directive was issued under Section 2 of the Immigrants (Expulsion from Assam) Act, 1950, after the Foreigners Tribunal (FT) declared the trio illegal immigrants through three separate orders passed in December.
The individuals indentified are Md. Faizul Haque of Manja Nadipar village under Manja Police Station in Karbi Anglong, who was declared a foreigner in FT Case No. 280/2006 (C); Md. Rafiqul Ali, of Hidim Teron Basti under Manja Police Station, who was declared a foreigner in FT Case No. 203/2007; and Md. Fakaruddin, of Jadav Rai Grant under Bokajan Police Station, declared a foreigner in FT Case No. 897/2006 (C).
According to the orders, the declared foreigners have been directed to leave India within 24 hours of receiving the notice, using the Dhubri/Sribhumi/South Salmara-Mankachar routes.

The directives also instruct various authorities to take further action, including ensuring compliance with the expulsion orders, confiscating any movable and immovable property and transferring it to the government, deleting the individuals’ names from electoral rolls, cancelling ration cards, freezing or cancelling Aadhaar cards, and removing them from all government welfare schemes or grants.
Officials warned that if the trio fails to comply, the government will initiate appropriate action to remove them from the state and the country.
These actions align with ongoing efforts by the Assam government to implement expulsion measures against individuals declared foreigners by tribunals, following directives to district administrations to act swiftly under the Immigrants (Expulsion from Assam) Act, 1950.
