Kohima: Eighteen-year-old Linoka K Achumi was crowned Miss Nagaland 2025 at a glittering ceremony held on Thursday at the Regional Centre of Excellence for Music & Performing Arts (RCEMPA) in Jotsoma, Kohima.
The event, organised under the theme “Grace and Beauty – The Woman in You”, showcased the state’s emerging talent and cultural pride.
The beauty pageant was organised by the Beauty & Aesthetic Society of Nagaland in collaboration with the Departments of Tourism and Higher Education as part of the Hornbill Festival celebrations.
Linoka secured the top title after advancing through multiple rounds of competition. Bendangienla was named first runner-up, while Christina H Yeptho took the second runner-up position. The top five finalists featured Linoka K Achumi, Bendangienla, Christina H Yeptho, Kechangunuo Kelio and Linoka Yepthomi.
A series of subtitle awards were also presented. Omai Rebecca Konyak won Miss Perfect 10, Linoka K Achumi bagged Miss Multimedia, Grace Kikon received Miss Beautiful Smile, Linoka Yepthomi was awarded Miss Talent, Susana Kinghen was named Miss Photogenic, and Christina H Yeptho earned the Queen of Hearts title.
The panel of judges comprised Easternlight Zimik, founder of EAST and NIFT Delhi graduate; Dr Abraham Lee, MD and CEO of Atomy Enterprise Pvt Ltd; Ruopfuzhano Whiso, Miss Kohima 2017, Miss Nagaland first runner-up 2017, Femina Miss Nagaland 2018 and fourth runner-up at Miss Universe India 2024; Vikuonuo Sachü, Miss Nagaland 2019 and Miss Kohima second runner-up; and Talisangla Nokdir, retired district programme officer and long-time BASN member (1995–2016).

Organisers said the event aimed to celebrate talent, poise and cultural identity while offering young Naga women a platform to pursue opportunities in modelling, leadership and public engagement.
