Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh government has announced a 3% hike in dearness allowance (DA), raising it from 55% to 58% for state employees and pensioners, effective July 1, 2025.
In a social media post, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said the increase will benefit state government employees, pensioners, and AIS officers serving in the state.
He added that arrears for July to September will be paid in cash, while the revised DA/DR (dearness relief) will be reflected in October salaries and pensions.
“This decision reflects our government’s strong commitment to employee welfare and ensuring that every member of our workforce and retired community feels valued,” Khandu wrote.
This marks the second DA/DR hike for state government employees this year, aligning allowances with those of central government employees. In May 2025, the DA/DR had already been increased from 53% to 55%.
