Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo used his red carpet appearance at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards to sharply criticise former US President Donald Trump, calling him “the worst human being” amid heightened political tensions following the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by a federal ICE agent.
Ruffalo, who was in Los Angeles as a nominee for his role in HBO’s Task, spoke to reporters wearing a “Be Good” pin — part of a broader protest movement at the ceremony honouring Good, a Minneapolis woman killed during an immigration enforcement operation last week.
The gesture was also joined by other celebrities sporting similar pins to draw attention to the incident and broader concerns over immigration policy and enforcement actions.
“This is for Renee Nicole Good, who was murdered,” Ruffalo told USA Today on the red carpet, tying his remarks to rising public concern in the United States.
He called out Trump’s approach to international and domestic issues, including US military involvement in Venezuela and what Ruffalo characterised as a disregard for international law under Trump’s leadership.

He criticised Trump’s moral compass and labelled him “the worst human being” in the context of leading the world’s most powerful country.

“This is not normal anymore… I don’t know how I could be quiet,” he said, reflecting the broader unease among some public figures over current political developments.
