Ampati (Meghalaya): The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Sunday launched its centenary year celebrations (2025–26) with an inaugural event, Udbhodhoni Karyakram, held at Borkona Kalidham Ashram under Betasing Khand in South West Garo Hills, Meghalaya.
The occasion began with a Pada Sanchalan (march past) from Joyfar to Borkona Kalidham, featuring 43 swayamsevaks, while 106 participants attended the main function.
Upendra Hari Koch, senior RSS functionary and adviser to the Koch Sahitya Sabha as well as the All Assam Koch Association, graced the ceremony as chief guest and addressed the gathering.
Parameswar Rabha, district Karyavah of South West Garo Hills, delivered the Boudhik (intellectual discourse).
The event included Shastra Pujan (weapon worship), Dwaj Uttallan (flag hoisting), Sharirik Pradarshan (physical demonstration), Sanghik Geet (group song), and Vyaktigat Geet (solo performance).

The programme also featured guest introductions, Amrit Vachan (words of wisdom), and concluded with Prarthana (prayer) and Dwajabataran (flag lowering).
The ceremony marked the formal commencement of the RSS Centenary Year celebrations in the Betasing region, reiterating the organisation’s focus on unity, discipline, and the vision of Pancha Parivartan (Five Transformations).
