The company announced that it now boasts over 50 million unique 5G customers on its network, making it one of the fastest 5G rollouts in the country. Additionally, Airtel proudly revealed that its 5G Plus services are now accessible in every district across India, spanning all 28 states and 8 union territories.
Randeep Sekhon, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Bharti Airtel, expressed his enthusiasm about this remarkable achievement, stating, “We are thrilled at the speed of adoption of 5G by millions of our customers, and we are reaching this milestone earlier than planned. This marks a significant expansion of Airtel’s 5G coverage, growing from 1 million in October 2022 to an impressive 50 million in just 12 months since the launch. The expansion is ongoing at full throttle, and I am confident that we will continue to rapidly expand our 5G coverage to achieve nationwide reach, enabling all our customers to embrace the 5G age.”
