New Delhi: Hollywood icon Tom Cruise has once again expressed his deep admiration for India, revealing his desire to one day star in a Bollywood-style film complete with song and dance sequences.
The actor, currently promoting his latest release Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, shared his affection for Indian cinema and culture in a special video message released by Paramount Pictures India.
In a conversation with actor and influencer Avneet Kaur, Cruise enthusiastically addressed his Indian fans in Hindi, saying, “Main aap sab se bahut pyaar karta hoon,” which translates to “I love you all very much.”
The 62-year-old actor also reminisced about his visit to India in 2011 while promoting Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, a film that featured Bollywood star Anil Kapoor in a cameo role.
Reflecting on that trip, he said, “I feel so much love for India. India is an amazing country with incredible people and a rich culture. That entire experience is etched in my memory—from landing in the country, visiting the Taj Mahal, to spending time in Mumbai. I remember it all so vividly.”
Cruise, who has long admired musical storytelling, expressed his fascination with the unique charm of Bollywood films.
“I absolutely love it when a character suddenly breaks into song mid-scene. It’s something I grew up watching in musicals from all over the world, and Bollywood does it so beautifully. The singing, the dancing, the performances—it’s such a wonderful display of talent. I’d love to be part of that,” he said.
He added that returning to India is high on his list and that he hopes to make a film in the country someday.
“I’ve made so many friends in India. I’ve met some amazing people. Making a Bollywood-style movie would be an incredible experience—so much fun and full of life.”
