Aizawl: The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) declared the Class 12 examination results on Tuesday, revealing that female students have once again outperformed their male counterparts across all academic streams.
In science, arts, and commerce, girls recorded an impressive pass percentage of 82.71%, compared to 79.20% achieved by boys.
This marks a continued trend of strong academic performance by female students in the state.
The overall pass rate for this year stands at 81.10%, reflecting a slight improvement of around 3 percentage points from the previous year.
Out of 12,105 students who appeared for the examinations, 2,197 did not pass, translating to a failure rate of 18.14%, according to MBSE data.
The highest pass percentage was seen in the science stream, where 85.63% of 2,798 students cleared the exams.
In the arts stream, 80.13% of 8,658 candidates were successful, while the commerce stream saw a 74.42% pass rate among 649 students.

Additionally, a total of 91 students qualified for compartmental exams, giving them another chance to improve their scores.
Meritorious performances were also highlighted, with 16 students featuring in the top 10 list for arts, 15 in science, and 10 in commerce.
