Kokrajhar: The 4th Kokrajhar Literary Festival in Assam is set to begin on February 1, featuring renowned writers from across the country and abroad, as confirmed by event organisers on Wednesday.
The three-day event will take place at the Bodofa Cultural Complex in Kokrajhar district.
Gobinda Boro, the working president of the organising committee, shared that the theme of the festival will focus on bridging cultural and societal gaps through literature with a message of peace.
“The festival will bring together distinguished international and national guests, including scholars and writers, who will participate in panel discussions, poetry readings, podcasts, and more,” Boro explained.
A total of nine international guests, 60 national guests, and over 100 local guests have confirmed their attendance.

There will also be a special program where the invited guests, scholars, and other literary figures will present their views on the transition from conflict to reconciliation.
The festival will also highlight the rich cultural heritage of the Bodofa community.
Sharingain Longkumer, Speaker of the Nagaland Assembly, will serve as the chief guest at the event.
