The highly anticipated 3rd round of the Swasthya Sewa Utsav (SSU) began on Tuesday in the state, following the success of previous rounds. The SSU-3.0 running from December 3 to 5 focuses on further improving healthcare facilities across the region.
The activities, building on the methodologies of previous rounds, included both internal and external assessments, as well as evaluations by senior district officials and medical faculty from renowned medical colleges. The goal was to ensure comprehensive healthcare delivery and identify areas for improvement to meet Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) in the near future.
This round covers five SC-Ayushman Arogya Mandir Centres, as well as District Hospitals (DH), Sub-Divisional Civil Hospitals (SDCH), Community Health Centres (CHC), and Primary Health Centres (PHC), all of which are undergoing rigorous evaluations.
Participants had the unique opportunity to explore the activities within these health facilities, engage with both medical staff and patients, and identify any gaps in the system requiring attention. The event serves as a platform for local communities to actively engage, share feedback, and support efforts to enhance healthcare quality.
External assessments were carried out at key healthcare facilities, including Bijni Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital (SDCH), Basugaon Community Health Centre, Panbari Sub-Health Centre, Garubhasa State Dispensary, Rowmari State Dispensary, J.S.B Civil Hospital, Ulubari Sub-Health Centre, Runikhata State Dispensary, Kashikotra Model Hospital, Ouguri Model Primary Health Centre and Ranchaidham State Dispensary. These assessments are part of ongoing efforts to improve healthcare access and ensure high-quality services for all citizens. The evaluations focus on strengthening infrastructure and identifying areas for improvement in the healthcare system.
The Swasthya Sewa Utsav builds on the achievements of the first round (April 6–8, 2023) and second round (November 20–22, 2023), both of which made significant strides in addressing gaps in healthcare infrastructure. This initiative continues to drive improvements, ensuring that healthcare facilities at all levels align with IPHS standards and provide accessible, high-quality care for all.
