Agartala: Tripura’s tableau secured the second-best position among all participating states in the Republic Day Parade 2025.
The state’s tableau showcased Kharchi Puja, highlighting the ceremonial practices associated with the worship of 14 royal deities and their significance.
The results for the best marching contingents and tableaux of the Republic Day Parade 2025 were announced on Wednesday.
Uttar Pradesh secured the first position for its representation of ‘Mahakumbh 2025 – Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas.
Andhra Pradesh secured the third position with its tableau featuring “Etikoppaka Bommalu – Eco-Friendly Wooden Toys.
Three panels of judges were constituted to assess the performance of Marching Contingents from the Services & Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF)/other auxiliary forces and tableaux from various States/Union Territories (UTs) and Ministries and Departments of the Central Government.
Tripura highlighted its rich cultural heritage during the Republic Day parade on Kartavya Path, showcasing the state’s unique tradition of paying homage to 14 deities through its tableau titled “Eternal Tribute: Worship of 14 Deities.”
The tableau shed light on Kharchi Puja, a prominent festival in Tripura, where rituals are performed to honour 14 deities and seek blessings for harmony and prosperity.
The first segment of the display combined traditional bamboo-based artistry with modern technology. A circular bamboo frame symbolized progress, while performers in vibrant traditional attire brought the state’s folk culture and art to life with energetic dance performances.
The second section featured a bamboo-and-cane temple, adorned with symbolic ornaments and intricate geometric patterns reflecting tribal architectural designs. The central altar, housing the 14 deities, stood as the focal point of the tableau.
A harmonious blend of traditional bamboo carvings and contemporary floral motifs enhanced the tableau’s visual appeal.
The Jammu & Kashmir Rifles contingent has been adjudged the best marching contingent among services which participated in the recent Republic Day Parade 2025 in Delhi.

The Delhi Police marching contingent was picked as the best contingent among CAPFs/other auxiliary forces.
The tableau of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs titled “Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh” was adjudged as the best tableau from Central Ministries/Departments.
