Agartala: In an effort to facilitate greater participation of the Tripura diaspora in the state’s development, the Tripura government has taken the initiative to convene the ‘Prabashi Tripurabashi Summit’ this year.
The event will be organized by the Tripura Institution for Transformation (TIFT) on January 9.
Officials of TIFT said the summit aims to provide a platform for sharing ideas and collaborating with Tripura’s talented diaspora to shape a prosperous future for the state.
The Prabashi Tripurabashi Summit will be a premier gathering aimed at fostering meaningful dialogue with the distinguished expatriates who have made significant achievements in their respective fields, TIFT stated.
“This is for the first time such event is going to happen in the state, which provides the opportunity to take part both physically and virtually,” officials said.
The summit underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in realizing the vision of a prosperous Tripura.
The organizers have been trying to bring together all 10 toppers of the Tripura Board of Secondary Education since its establishment in 1979, many of whom have achieved success in their respective careers outside the state.
“The primary objective of the summit is to engage with the sons and daughters of the soil, leveraging their experiences, expertise, and networks to contribute towards the state’s socio economic development,” a TIFT official said.
The event seeks to create a platform for exchange, where ideas are shared, innovative solutions are proposed, and a collective roadmap for Tripura’s progress is crafted.
Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha said that the Prabashi Tripurabashi Summit is more than an event.
