He said, “A total of 40 students will participate in the state-level event after being selected through district-level competitions held across four locations.”
Roy said the state-level Youth Parliament competition will provide a platform for young people to share their visions for India’s future.
He added, “Three students will be chosen from the event to represent Tripura at the National Youth Parliament, which will take place in Parliament.
The jury for selecting the winners will consist of Chief Whip Kalyani Saha Roy, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sushanta Choudhury, MLA Abhisek Debroy, Speaker BB Sen, and senior MLA Rampada Jamatia.
He further added that a digital database of budding players has been created as part of the state-wide talent search campaign.
The minister stated, “34,571 children under the age of 14 participated in the campaign, which covered 247 zones, including all rural development blocks and urban local bodies. The final round of the talent search will conclude on March 21, with the state-level event set to take place at Umakanta School.”
