Agartala: Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu highlighted the state’s progress in various sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, and the welfare of its citizens, during his address at the Republic Day celebrations at Assam Rifles Ground in Agartala on Sunday.
The Governor emphasised a significant milestone for the state with the historic agreement signed in March last year between the Centre, the state government, and the Tipra Motha Party to address the concerns of the indigenous people.
“This historic accord will foster the development of indigenous communities,” Nallu stated.
He also hailed the peace agreements with the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) as groundbreaking, asserting that these pacts would pave the way for peace and progress in the state.
Tripura’s development, according to Nallu, has been bolstered by the support of the central government, with advancements in infrastructure, health, education, and the overall welfare of its people.
He also commended the state’s initiative to unveil its new emblem and praised the ongoing efforts to boost infrastructure for industrialisation and investment.
The Governor revealed that the Centre has approved Rs 2,800 crore for crucial road development projects aimed at speeding up infrastructure growth.
