Agaratala: Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu was on Thursday given additional charge as the Governor of Mizoram, “during the absence on leave” of Hari Babu Kambhampati.
An official release by Rashtrapati Bhavan stated, “The President of India is pleased to appoint Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, Governor of Tripura to discharge the functions of the Governor of Mizoram, in addition to his own duties, during the absence on leave of Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati.”
Kambhampati was named Mizoram governor in July 2021.
Indra Sena Reddy has been appointed Tripura governor on 18 October 18, 2023. He was sworn in as the 20th Governor of Tripura at Raj Bhawan on October 26.
Reddy was elected as an MLA 3 times first in 1983 at the age of 33, and in 1985 from Malakpet in Hyderabad. He was elected again in 1999.
The Governor on Monday inaugurated a new indigo flight service connecting Agartala’s Maharaja’s Bir Bikram Airport to Hyderabad.

The Governor emphasized the significance of better connectivity in boosting regional development.
The introduction of the new route is expected to enhance connectivity between the Northeastern region and Southern India, facilitating easier travel for passengers and promoting business and tourism between Tripura and Telangana.
