Agartala: The Office of the Election Commissioner for District Council, Tripura, has announced the schedule for preparation and publication of electoral rolls ahead of the election to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
In a notification, Election Commissioner for District Council, Manoj Kumar, stated that the draft electoral rolls for all constituencies under the TTAADC will be published on February 27, 2026. Electors will be allowed to submit claims and objections until March 6, 2026.
The scrutiny and disposal of claims and objections will be completed by March 10, 2026, following which the final electoral rolls will be officially published on March 13, 2026.
The notification clarified that the rolls for the District Council constituencies will be prepared based on the final electoral rolls of the State Assembly constituencies, as published by the Election Commission of India on October 1, 2025.
Officials also stated that the entire process will be conducted strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Election and Conduct of Business) Rules, 1985.

Tipra Motha is currently in power in the district council. The present tenure of the council will expire on April 18, making the upcoming elections crucial for the continuation of the democratic process in the tribal autonomous body.
