Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has claimed that the state recorded the lowest crime rate in 2025, with an 8 per cent decline in registered criminal cases compared to 2024.
Addressing the Tripura Police Week parade, CM Saha said the number of cases registered with the police reduced from 4,033 in 2024 to 3,698 in 2025.
He also highlighted an 8.1 percent reduction in crimes against women in 2025 and emphasized the establishment of 24/7 women’s help desks in all police stations, as well as the presence of nine all-women police stations across different districts to enhance women’s safety
“It is straightway an 8.20 per cent fall, the lowest in the past two decades in the state. A total of 4,033 cases were registered in 2024, while 3,698 cases have been recorded this year. Property-related offences have declined by nearly 16%, and crimes against the body have reduced by approximately 14.54% in 2025 compared to last year. The credit must go to the state police and other law enforcement agencies,” he said.
