Tripura CM reviews preparations for PM Modi’s visit on Sept 22

Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Thursday reviewed preparations to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 22 to inaugurate the redeveloped Maa Tripurasundari temple at Udaipur in Gomati district.

CM Saha, accompanied by Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Panchayat Minister Kishore Barman, Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, and others, inspected the temple site.

“Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji is set to visit Tripura on September 22. Today, I reviewed the preparations at the sacred Maa Tripurasundari Temple premises. Sharing some glimpses from my visit as we gear up to welcome our beloved Prime Minister,” Chief Minister Saha posted on X.

He also inspected the OTPC Helipad Ground in Palatana, which is likely to be used for the arrival of PM Modi.

During the inspection, the chief minister directed departments to complete all arrangements on schedule and recommended improvements wherever required.

According to officials, the Prime Minister will unveil and lay the foundation stones for a series of projects across various departments during his visit.

The temple, originally built in 1501 AD by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya, has recently undergone a major facelift under the Centre’s PRASAD and Swadesh Darshan schemes.

The renovation, costing Rs 51 crore, has added new facilities and modern infrastructure to enhance the pilgrimage experience while preserving the sanctity of the centuries-old shrine.
