Agartala: The Tipra Indigenous Students Federation (TISF), the students’ wing of the Tipra Motha Party, has called for improved education infrastructure in Tripura.
The federation recently met Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu and demanded better facilities in all schools and colleges across the state.
The TISF urged Governor Nallu to make Rignai (traditional cloth worn by Tripuri women) a dress code twice a week in all educational institutions of the state.
The students’ body also submitted a memorandum to the Governor, highlighting the lack of study materials in schools and colleges. It said there are no adequate restrooms for the students and proper drinking water facilities.
TISF called for the establishment of libraries in all schools to promote reading and learning.
The federation underscored the urgent need to address the issues to ensure a brighter future for the next generation.
The memorandum further pointed out the severe lack of basic amenities in schools and colleges, including inadequate seating, insufficient electricity, and a shortage of essential educational facilities.

The students’ body of Tripura urged the Governor to make provisions for better facilities in the schools and colleges that the students deserve.
