CM Saha said as per the National Education Policy, Nipun Tripura is working tirelessly to impart Foundational Literacy and Numeracy to around 90,000 students at the primary level through TLM.
The Tripura government is committed to improving the state’s education system by ensuring better facilities in every school, Saha stated.
The event, which aimed at promoting innovative and low-cost TLMs in schools, featured over 160 hand-made teaching materials from teachers across all eight districts of Tripura.
The exhibition, now in its second year, has seen remarkable growth. From its inaugural showcase in 2023 with 3,000 teachers, this year the event drew in over 7,000 educators.
This surge in participation reflects a growing enthusiasm for integrating innovative teaching tools in schools throughout the state.
During the event, 10 TLMs were awarded as the best, with 5 in the literacy category and 5 in the numeracy category.
The completion, which began at the block level, saw the participation of teachers from NIPUN mission schools and private schools.
The top 10 TLMs from the block level were elected for the district-level exhibition. The best 20 TLMs from each district advanced to the state-level competition.
The Chief Minister handed over the awards to the winning teachers, recognizing their innovative contributions to the education sector.
