AGARTALA: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is set to headline a roadshow in Agartala on April 16, as confirmed by senior Congress leader Sudip Roy Barman on Friday.
The roadshow is organised in support of the opposition INDIA bloc candidates contesting in Tripura West and Tripura East Lok Sabha constituencies.
Barman announced that Vadra will arrive in Agartala on April 16 to participate in the roadshow, urging people to vote for the INDIA bloc candidates in both parliamentary constituencies and the assembly by-polls.
Reportedly, during the roadshow, Vadra will address a gathering near Surya Chowmuhani, highlighting the importance of voting for the opposition INDIA Bloc candidates in the upcoming elections.

Barman also highlighted the critical nature of the upcoming elections, describing the country as heading for a “dharmayuddha” and called on the public to join the roadshow and ensure its success.
Asish Kumar Saha, Pradesh Congress president, is contesting from the West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency, while former CPI(M) MLA Rajendra Reang represents the opposition alliance in the East Tripura Lok Sabha constituency.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi, Member of Parliament from Wayanad, is scheduled to commence his campaign trail in Assam on April 17.
Gandhi is expected to address gatherings in Jorhat and Dibrugarh in support of Gaurav Gogoi, the Congress candidate from the Jorhat constituency, with the campaign in Jorhat beginning at 11 am.
Elections for the West Tripura Lok Sabha seat and the Ramnagar Assembly constituency by-election are slated for April 19, while polling for the Tripura East Parliamentary constituency will take place on April 26.
