Agartala: BJP national president J.P. Nadda on Sunday celebrated the second anniversary of the BJP 2.0 government in Tripura with a massive rally at Swami Vivekananda Stadium.

Addressing the gathering, Nadda said the BJP’s governance has delivered on people’s aspirations, leading to consistent electoral victories, including the party’s third consecutive term in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

He cited the BJP’s growing vote share from 31.3% in 2014 to 37% in 2024 as evidence of the people’s trust in the party.

Nadda announced two new schemes for girls in Tripura.

Under the Mukhyamantri Balika Samriddhi Yojana, Rs 50,000 will be deposited in the name of every girl born into a below-poverty-line family, growing to Rs 10 lakh by the time she turns 18.

The Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana will provide scooters to 140 meritorious girl students appearing for board exams under Tripura, CBSE, and ICSE.

He highlighted several developmental milestones achieved under the BJP-led government, including a significant decline in the state’s crime rate, improved infrastructure, and better healthcare and educational facilities.

According to Nadda, Tripura’s tax devolution from the Centre has increased fivefold, while grant-in-aid has risen by 73% compared to the previous government.

He also praised the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana for benefiting 24 lakh people in the state and pointed out the progress in organic farming, with 20,000 farmers transitioning to sustainable practices.

Nadda credited Chief Minister Manik Saha’s leadership for bringing peace and progress to Tripura and said the BJP remains committed to transforming the state into a model of good governance and development.
