Agartala: BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda will attend a public meeting to be held in Agartala on Sunday to mark the BJP-led government’s two years in power in Tripura in the current term.
Addressing a press conference, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee said the saffron party is all set to celebrate the second anniversary of its second term in power with a grand public meeting at Swami Vivekananda ground in Agartala on March 9.
“The BJP-led state government will complete two years on March 8. As board exams are scheduled on that day, we have decided to organise a public meeting to highlight development works for the people on March 9 at Swami Vivekananda Stadium,” Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee.
As part of the programme, the party will also organise district, booth, and mandal-level programmes in different phases.
The list of achievements of the second BJP-led government during the past two years will be presented before the public in the rally, Bhattacharjee said.
“A nine-member committee headed by the senior minister Ratan Lal Nath has been constituted to organise the mega rally. Ministers, MLAs and other leaders are working in their areas to make the rally a grand success,” he said.

Chief Minister Manik Saha and other ministers, legislators and heads of different public sector undertakings, among others, will also attend the event.
