Guwahati: 16-year-old Utkarsh Mohan Bhanarkar, a student of Sainik School Korukonda, was rescued after being missing for over a month.
The teenager had disappeared on December 19, 2024, while travelling from Secunderabad to Vijayanagaram, and was later found to be the victim of a distressing incident involving miscreants.
Having been drugged and robbed, Utkarsh managed to contact his father on January 23, 2025, providing crucial details about his whereabouts.
Stranded and in dire condition, he informed his family that he was en route to Agartala.
Acting swiftly, his parents sought the immediate assistance of the Spear Corps, who coordinated with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Child Welfare Commission to secure his safe recovery.
Through the efforts of the Spear Corps and these agencies, Utkarsh was successfully rescued at the Agartala Railway Station.
He was promptly given medical attention to address his condition before being safely sent home on a civil flight.
On Saturday, after enduring over a month of distress, Utkarsh was finally reunited with his family, bringing a long-awaited and joyous conclusion to an ordeal that had drawn widespread concern.
