New Delhi: Samsung is reportedly working with Iridium to bring satellite communications to the Galaxy S23 family.
Iridium is a 66-strong Low Earth orbit satellite constellation which provides voice and data services.
For last few years Samsung has been working to bring satellite communications to smart phones. And it has probably managed to do it.
With the launch of the Galaxy S23 family, there are reports that users will be able to send text messages and small images via satellite. The launch has been scheduled in February 2023.
According to reports, the Galaxy S23 family will exclusively use a higher binned version of Qualcomm’s recently unveiled Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
