POCO has confirmed the launch of POCO C71, the company’s next budget smartphone, in India on April 4th as the successor to last year’s POCO C61 smartphone.
There is also a microsite for the phone that is now live on Flipkart, confirming the phone’s availability on the e-commerce platform, alongside Poco’s official website.
POCO reveals that the phone will feature a 6.88-inch HD+ 120Hz display, which will be the largest display in the Rs 7000 price segment. It will also be the segment’s most eye-friendly display in the segment, featuring TUV low blue light, flicker free and circadian certifications.
It will come with wet display support, which means the display will be perfectly responsive even when your hands are wet.
The POCO C71 will feature split-grid design with flashy camera deco, and come in Power Black, Cool Blue and Desert Gold colours, and will feature IP52 ratings for dust and flash resistance, which means a device is protected against limited dust ingress (dust-resistant but not fully dustproof) and can withstand light water sprays (dripping water at an angle) but not heavy exposure.
POCO has confirmed 5200mAh battery for the phone, which it says is the largest in the price segment, and it will come with 15W fast charging with a charger in the box. The company says that it will offer 80% of battery health even after 3 years.
The phone will come with 32MP rear camera along with a secondary camera, and a 8MP selfie camera. There will be 7 film filters.
The phone will be powered by an Octa-Core processor with a promise of 300K+ scores on AnTuTu, 6GB of RAM with 6GB of additional virtual RAM.
It will also come with a microSD expansion slot that will let users expand the storage up to 2 TB.
POCO promises 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security update for the phone. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
