OnePlus is all set to unveil the much-anticipated OnePlus 13 and the OnePlus 13R on January 7.
The OnePlus 13 is expected to be priced starting from Rs 53,000 in India, with the top-end variant likely to cost around Rs 62,500.
With the OnePlus 13 and the OnePlus 13R, the company seems to have ditched the curved displays in favour of flat sides. And while both phones will sport the familiar circular camera module, the design that connected the camera island to the frame of the phone is missing this time.
Another change is that the OnePlus 13 will now be available in both vegan leather and glass finish, with both variants offering IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance.
However, the OnePlus 13R will miss out on the vegan leather finish and the IP68 and IP69 ratings.
With an IP68 and IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, the OnePlus 13 is expected to feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
OnePlus has confirmed that both the OnePlus 13 and the OnePlus 13R will pack a 6,000mAh battery and support fast charging.
The OnePlus 13 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset while the OnePlus 13R will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
The OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R will run on OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box. While the former is expected to get 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security patches, the OnePlus 13R may get 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches.
The OnePlus 13 series is expected to bring significant upgrades to the camera department.
The OnePlus 13 is said to pack a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary camera accompanied by a 50MP telephoto lens and a 50MP ultrawide sensor.
On the other hand, the OnePlus 13R is said to pack a telephoto lens this time, which, if true, will be a first for the R series.
OnePlus 13R will have a triple camera which consists of a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP telephoto lens and an 8MP ultrawide shooter.

The OnePlus 13 is rumoured to be a powerhouse, boasting a 6.82-inch BOE X2 2K+ AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, along with 2160Hz PWM dimming and the world’s first DisplayMate A++ rating.
This display will likely offer an exceptional viewing experience, especially in outdoor lighting.
