New Delhi: Tesla chief Elon Musk on Saturday morning announced that he has postponed his planned trip to India.
Less than 24 hours before his visit to India, the Tesla owner said his scheduled visit to India has been postponed due to “very heavy Tesla obligations.”
Elon Musk, the world’s richest man confirmed on X that he has delayed his trip, and said he looks forward to visit India later this year.
The business tycoon, who owns Tesla and SpaceX, was scheduled to reach India on April 21.

He was expected to announce $2-3 billion investments in India, with his visit likely marking breakthroughs for Tesla and Starlink.
“Unfortunately, very heavy Tesla obligations require that the visit to India be delayed, but I do very much look forward to visiting later this year,” he said in his post on X.
According to reports, Starlink was all set to get the initial approvals to operate in India.
The BJP-led government also notified changes to the foreign direct investment (FDI) policy in the space sector to liberalise entry routes for offshore investors in Indian companies.
