GANGTOK: Sikkim is all set to host the inaugural edition of the ‘Sikkim Soldierathon’ on October 27 in Gangtok.
This exciting event is being organized by the Trishakti Corps of the Indian Army in collaboration with Fitistan: Ek Fit Bharat.
The event aims to foster a culture of physical fitness among the people of Sikkim and promote the state as a vibrant destination for sports tourism.
The Sikkim Soldierathon offers a unique opportunity for participants to test their limits and explore the stunning landscapes of Gangtok.
Participants from all walks of life are invited to register themselves for the event and select their preferred distance- 21km, 10km, or 5km.
The event will be flagged off and flagged in at Paljor Stadium. The Sikkim Soldierathon is not just a test of physical endurance but a celebration of resilience and determination.
The scenic route will take runners through the heart of Gangtok, offering breathtaking views of the city and surrounding hills.
Participants will have the unique opportunity to run alongside soldiers, veterans, and other dignitaries, creating a truly unforgettable experience.

A pre-race expo will be held on October 26th at Paljor Stadium, where participants can pick up their race kits and goodie bags. In addition to the race kit, all participants will receive a specially designed T-shirt, a finisher’s medal, refreshments, medical assistance, hydration, and a timed race certificate (for timed runs).
The expo will also feature exciting cultural performances to entertain runners and spectators.
