GUWAHATI: A grand military parade marked the culmination of rigorous training for the SSC-118, SSC (W)-32, and equivalent courses at the prestigious Parameshwaran Drill Square of Officers Training Academy in Chennai on Saturday.
The event witnessed the transformation of officer cadets into the future leaders of the Indian Army.
The parade, a symbol of discipline and military excellence, featured officer cadets marching in unison to martial tunes.
The journey of these cadets, marked by dedication and growth over the past year, was on full display, reflecting the hard work of the instructors and administrative staff.
Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, Vice Chief of Army Staff, reviewed the parade and presented prestigious awards.
BUO Samrath Singh was awarded the Sword of Honour, while BUO Simran Singh Rathi received the Gold medal.
In his address, the Reviewing Officer praised the achievements of the officer cadets and the staff, urging the newly commissioned officers to embody the core military values of selfless service and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
Following the parade, the Pipping Ceremony saw the newly commissioned officers take their oath to serve the nation with honour and dedication.
A total of 258 male and 39 female officer cadets were commissioned into various arms and services of the Indian Army, along with 10 male and 5 female officer cadets from friendly foreign countries, further strengthening international military ties.
The event was attended by parents, dignitaries, and members of the diplomatic community.
