India’s double Olympic medallist and 2023 world champion Neeraj Chopra has tied the knot with Himani Mor a couple of days back in a private ceremony.
Chopra, who hails from Haryana’s Sonipat, announced the marriage with the 25-year-old Himani on his social media handles.
Neeraj, the only Indian track and field athlete to win an Olympic gold, took to X on Sunday to announce his marriage and put out pictures of the ceremony at an undisclosed venue.
“Beginning the new chapter of life with the blessings of family. Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after,” Neeraj wrote.
Mor is currently pursuing a Sports Management (Major) at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. She is an alumni of Delhi’s Miranda House where she completed her bachelors degree in Political Science and Physical Education.
According to the All India Tennis Association (AITA) website, Himani’s career-best national ranking was 42 in singles and 27 in doubles in 2018. She only began competing in AITA events in 2018.
