Mumbai: India’s second-richest businessman Mukesh Ambani is keen to acquire the Liverpool FC.
Liverpool FC is a professional football club based at Liverpool in England. Established in1892, it is one of the top football clubs in the United Kingdom.
It has been reported that Mukesh Ambani has entered the race to acquire Liverpool FC after the club was put up for sale by owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG).
The top English daily, The Mirror has reported that Mukesh Ambani has shown interest in Liverpool FC and has enquired about the club.
However, there has been no official confirmation on Mukesh Ambani showing interest on acquiring Liverpool FC. The Reliance Group is yet to make any statement on the reports.
Mukesh Ambani has keen interest in promoting different forms of sports in India. His Reliance Industries owns the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Mumbai Indian and runs the football league, Indian Super League (ISL) along with the All India Football Federation.
