Shillong: Meghalaya’s Kevin Lyngdoh Sangriang has clinched two gold medals at the 21st National Mountain Bike Championship 2025.

The championship was held at Morni Hills in Haryana from March 28 to 31. The event was organised by the Haryana Cycling Association under the aegis of the Cycling Federation of India.

Fifteen-year-old Kevin, who hails from Mawkyrwat in South West Khasi Hills, dominated the competition, securing gold in the Cross Country Time Trial and the Cross Country Olympic (XCO) categories.

Kevin competed using a high-end bicycle worth Rs 1 lakh, which was sponsored by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma.

“I want to express my gratitude to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, whose sponsorship of my bicycle enabled me to clinch the gold medals,” Kevin said.

The Meghalaya Cycling Association (MCA) on Tuesday felicitated Kevin Lyngdoh Sangriang for his outstanding performance at the 21st National Mountain Bike Championship.

The felicitation ceremony, held at ISBT Junction in Mawlai Mawiong, was led by MCA president Lening B. Bareh.
