Shillong: The Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) on Monday named a 25-member list of probables for the upcoming domestic women’s cricket season, with seasoned batter Luiza Tamang headlining the selection.
A consistent top-order batter and a key leader in recent seasons, Tamang will be joined by fellow regulars Daiaka E Warjri and Neha Hajong.
Warjri, known for her stability in the middle order, and Hajong, a dependable all-rounder, are expected to play pivotal roles as Meghalaya prepares for the national campaign.
Also making the list are Suruti Kumari Ray and Ankita Sharma, who delivered notable performances last season and continue to remain in the selectors’ radar.
The probables will undergo a series of training and preparatory matches in the coming weeks.
The final 15-member squad is expected to be announced by early September.
Meghalaya will open their 2025–26 campaign with the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy, beginning October 8.
The One-Day competition is scheduled to commence from February 6 next year.
