Celebrating his 51st birthday on Wednesday, Sachin Tendulkar, the cricketing icon often hailed as the “God of Cricket”, remains a symbol of excellence and inspiration long after his retirement from the game 11 years ago.

Tendulkar, fondly known as the Master Blaster, has left an indelible mark on the cricketing world with his unparalleled batting prowess and numerous records.

Despite bidding farewell to the sport, his impact and legacy endure, cherished by fans worldwide.

Throughout his illustrious career, Tendulkar has amassed numerous accolades, including the prestigious Khel Ratna and Bharat Ratna awards.

His lifelong ambition of lifting the World Cup trophy was realised in 2011 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, further solidifying his legendary status.

Among his remarkable feats, Tendulkar boasts an extraordinary record of 100 international centuries, with 51 in Tests and 49 in ODIs.

His monumental contribution to Indian cricket is reflected in his staggering tally of 18,426 runs in ODIs and 15,921 runs in Tests.

Most Test Appearances: Tendulkar played 200 Test matches, second only to James Anderson (187).

Most Test Runs: With 15,921 runs at an average of 53.28, Tendulkar remains one of the highest run-scorers in Test cricket.

Most Test Centuries: The cricketing maestro notched up 51 centuries in the longest format of the game.

Most ODI Runs in a Year: Tendulkar holds the record for the most ODI runs in a calendar year, amassing 1894 runs in 1998.

Most Boundaries in ODI: Tendulkar holds the record for hitting the most boundaries (fours) in ODI cricket, totalling 2016 fours.

Most International Runs: His tally of 34,357 runs across all formats remains unmatched in international cricket.

Most Player of the Match Awards: Tendulkar’s stellar performances earned him the Player of the Match award 76 times across formats, a testament to his unparalleled skill and consistency.
