The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially revealed the schedule for the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 with Guwahati hosting two matches on May 15 and 19.

This season’s IPL will exclusively take place within India, offering a thrilling cricketing spectacle to fans across the nation, the board has revealed.

The Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati will host Rajasthan Royals (RR) as they take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) on May 15 and clash with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 19.

As the tournament progresses towards its climax, the spotlight will shine on the high-voltage playoffs scheduled at two iconic cricketing venues – the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The Qualifier 1 and Eliminator matches are slated for May 21 and May 22 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, while the Qualifier 2 and the grand finale will grace the historic MA Chidambaram Stadium on May 24 and 26 respectively.

The action-packed second leg of IPL 2024 is set to kick off on April 8 with a thrilling encounter between the defending champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and KKR at the iconic Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.

Earlier, confusion had arose following certain report indicating that the BCCI was exploring alternative countries to host the second leg of the 2024 IPL, citing concerns about the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

This marks the beginning of a series of gripping clashes that will captivate cricket enthusiasts nationwide.

Cricket aficionados in Dharamsala and Guwahati are in for a treat as their cities host some highly anticipated encounters.

The picturesque HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala will witness PBKS in action against CSK on May 5, followed by a showdown with Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 9.

With the league stage concluding on May 19 with a face-off between RR and KKR, the stage will be set for the nail-biting playoffs beginning May 21.

The playoff matches promise to deliver electrifying moments, marking the culmination of what promises to be an unforgettable IPL season.
