New Delhi: India’s young pugilists delivered an impressive performance at the 3rd “Belt and Road” International Youth Boxing Gala in Xinjiang, China, guaranteeing a haul of 26 medals across categories.
The event, which featured U17, U19, and U23 international training camps and tournaments, saw India field a strong 58-member squad, including 40 boxers in the under-17 division — 20 boys and 20 girls.
Among the boys, ten fighters punched their way into the semifinals, ensuring podium finishes.
The list includes Dhruv Kharb (46kg), Uday Singh (46kg), Falak (48kg), Piyush (50kg), Aditya (52kg), Udham Singh Raghav (54kg), Ashish (54kg), Devendra Chaudhary (75kg), Jaideep Singh Hanjra (80kg), and Loven Gulia (+80kg).
They registered notable wins against strong opponents from China, Korea, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

The junior girls’ contingent was equally dominant, sealing multiple semifinal spots with commanding victories.
Khushi (46kg), Bhakti (50kg), Radhamani (60kg), Harsika (60kg), Diya (66kg), Priya (66kg), Laxmi (46kg), Chahat (60kg), Himanshi (66kg), Harnoor (66kg), and Prachi Khatri (+80kg) all triumphed over competitors from China and Korea to guarantee themselves medals.
The tournament continues to showcase India’s growing strength in youth boxing, with several promising talents eyeing gold in the upcoming bouts.
