Shillong: Real Kashmir FC extended their unbeaten home record with a dominant 2-0 victory over Shillong Lajong FC in Srinagar on Sunday.
The win pushed Real Kashmir to fourth place in the I-League standings. Aminou Bouba gave the Snow Leopards the lead in first-half stoppage time, scoring with a header off a long throw-in for his third goal of the season.
Despite Lajong’s efforts to mount a comeback, they struggled to break through Real Kashmir’s solid defense.
Kamal Issah secured the win in the 88th minute, racing past defenders to finish a precise pass from Mohammed Aqib.
Real Kashmir now sits in fourth with 19 points from 12 matches, while Lajong remains seventh with 16 points.
In another match, Namdhari FC returned to the top of the I-League table with a clinical 2-0 victory over Delhi FC at Mahilpur, Punjab.
Bhupinder Singh gave Namdhari the lead in the 30th minute, finishing off a low cross from Jaskaranpreet Singh.
The momentum shifted in Namdhari’s favor, and Cledson Carvalho Dasilva doubled their lead in the 52nd minute with an assist from Bhupinder.

The Brazilian striker’s goal was his eighth of the season.
Namdhari now leads the standings with 24 points from 12 matches, though Churchill Brothers have a chance to overtake them in their upcoming fixture.
Delhi FC remains in 11th place, struggling with just 9 points.
