Guwahati: The 1st All Assam (All Sports) All Martial Arts Games 2025 will be held in the city on December 7, bringing together athletes from various martial arts and sporting disciplines. The one-day event is scheduled at the Champabati High School playground in Ganeshpara.
The tournament is being organised by the Dhirenpara Ganeshpara Navajagaran Sangha in collaboration with New Monks Kung-Fu, India, and will be conducted under the banner of the All Sports Games Federation Assam, which is affiliated with the Indian All Sports Games Federation.
Participants are expected to compete in an array of categories, including Kung-fu, Gung-fu, Karate, Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Wushu and Jeet Kune Do, along with sports such as badminton, volleyball and other events.
Grand Master Gome Thapa, the event’s Chief Technical Director, will supervise the martial arts competitions, assisted by Grand Master Neil Sangma and other assistant grand masters from New Monks Kung-Fu, India.
Organisers said the event aims to promote grassroots martial arts culture and encourage young people to take up fitness-oriented activities.

“The programme will highlight emerging talent from across Assam and strengthen community engagement through sports,” said Kongkan Kr. Das, president of Navajagaran Sangha.
Sports secretary of the organisation and Assistant Grand Master Pulak Chowdhury, who also serves as vice-president of the International All Sports Games Federation, said they hope to make the tournament an annual fixture.
Participation is expected from multiple districts, and organisers have assured that all arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of the competitions.
