Assam’s Tutumoni Boro on Saturday won individual gold in the Archery Indian Rounds at the 37th National Games 2023.
The 37th National Games 2023 held in Goa have been a platform for numerous young talents to prove their mettle in various sporting events.
Tutumoni Boro, hailing from Assam, has proven to be one such rising star, making her mark in the world of archery.
In the Indian Rounds, the men’s team, consisting of Arun Boro, Ritumoni Swargiary, Manoranjan Boro, and Rajesh Narzary, secured gold medals with their exceptional teamwork and accuracy.
The girls’ team, comprising of Tutumoni Boro, Binamoni Rabha, Pallabi Das, and Pallabi Boro, exhibited their exceptional skills.
The Assam girls’ team earned silver medals in a closely contested competition.
At the moment, Maharashtra is leading the medal tally with an impressive total of 162 medals, including 60 gold, 49 silver, and 53 bronze.
The defending champions, Services Sport Control Board, currently hold the second position with 66 medals, 38 of which are gold.
Haryana has maintained its third position in the medal tally, accumulating a total of 89 medals, including 31 gold medals.
This year’s event is featuring athletes from 28 states, eight Union Territories, and the Services Sports Control Board (SSCB).
